The Beginning

A Stage Built on a
Lifetime of Dance

The Wiener Ballettakademie was co-founded by Mihail Sosnovschi, Elvinas Paskevicius and Yerbol Syrym. Mihail brings his artistic vision and decades of stage experience; Elvinas and Yerbol bring the entrepreneurial drive and organisational foundation that made the academy possible.

After more than two decades performing on the world's most prestigious stages, earning the Grand Prix de la Culture, the Premio Capri Danza, and the Karl Musil Memorial Prize, Mihail felt called to give back — to the next generation, and to the city he calls home.

The Wiener Ballettakademie is that teacher, for the next generation. Founded in Vienna in 2026, the academy brings world-class classical ballet training to students of all ages — from the very first plié at age three, to the lights of a professional stage.

Our Purpose

Our Mission

"To nurture every dancer's potential — technically, artistically, and personally — in an environment that honours the tradition of classical ballet and prepares students for the world stage."

We believe that ballet is more than a discipline. It is a language — one that builds confidence, teaches resilience, and creates beauty. Our mission is to make this language accessible to everyone, from the curious beginner to the aspiring professional, in one of the world's greatest cities for classical dance.

Looking Forward

Our Vision for
Vienna & Beyond

Our vision is to establish the Wiener Ballettakademie as Vienna's defining institution for classical ballet training — a place where students from Austria and around the world come to study under the guidance of world-class artists.

We see a future where our graduates perform on the stages of great opera houses and ballet companies, where our alumni mentor the next generation, and where the academy becomes a permanent part of Vienna's cultural identity.

We are just beginning. And the stage is open.

What We Stand For

Our Core Values

Excellence

We hold ourselves and our students to the highest artistic and technical standards — because greatness is earned through dedication.

Passion

Ballet is not just technique — it is emotion, storytelling, and soul. We cultivate a deep love for the art in every student.

Community

We are more than a school. We are a family — students, parents, faculty, and alumni united by a shared passion for dance.

International Vision

Rooted in Vienna's rich ballet tradition, we train dancers for the world stage — with an international perspective built into everything we do.

Holistic Education

We develop the whole person — discipline, artistry, confidence, and resilience — skills that extend far beyond the studio.

Individual Attention

Every student is unique. Our small class sizes ensure each dancer receives the personalised guidance they deserve.
