Master Classes
Character Dance Seminars
The theatrical soul of classical ballet — folk traditions brought to life on stage.
The Art of Character
Character dance is the theatrical language of classical ballet — drawing on folk and national dance traditions from across Europe to bring storytelling and personality to the stage. It is a core discipline of the classical training tradition, and a required element of the professional grades curriculum.
Our Character Dance Seminars are intensive sessions that explore the major national styles: Polish Mazurka, Hungarian Czárdás, Russian folk dance, Spanish bolero, and Italian character dance.
- Polish Mazurka and Krakowiak
- Hungarian Czárdás
