The Power of the Ensemble
The corps de ballet is the backbone of every great ballet company. At the Wiener Ballettakademie, we train students in the discipline, precision, and collective artistry that ensemble performance demands.
Corps de Ballet classes prepare students for the full experience of classical performance — from rehearsal discipline to stage presentation.
- Synchronisation and spatial awareness
- Classical ensemble repertoire
- Stage formation and spacing
- Performance and stagecraft skills
- Preparation for academy productions
Repertoire
Students work with excerpts from Swan Lake, Giselle, The Sleeping Beauty, and other classics of the ballet canon.
Class Duration
90-minute ensemble rehearsal sessions, integrated into the weekly schedule for Grades 3 and above.
Group Training
Larger group format — typically 10–16 students — to simulate the experience of a real company corps.
