Our Artistic Director, Mihail Sosnovschi, has been honoured with the prestigious Grand Prix de la Culture, awarded by Wiener Privatbank in recognition of his outstanding contributions to Viennese ballet.
The award acknowledges a career spent on the great stages of Europe and a sustained commitment to passing on that experience to the next generation of dancers. Under his direction, the Wiener Ballettakademie has built a faculty and a curriculum shaped by professional stage practice.
Teaching as a Continuation of the Stage
For Mihail Sosnovschi, performance and teaching have never been separate worlds. The precision, musicality and stage discipline developed over decades of professional dancing form the foundation of the academy's approach to training.
We congratulate him, and we are grateful that our students learn every day from a teacher whose work continues to be recognised at the highest level.
