Why the Smallest Studio Gets the Best Results

For private coaching, solo variations and one-on-one Pilates, a small studio beats a big hall. Why our 55 m² Studio 5 in Vienna is perfect for focused, affordable private sessions.

A big hall is wonderful for a company — but for one dancer and one teacher it can feel empty and cost more than it needs to. For focused private work, smaller is better.

Why a Small Studio?

  • Focus. A quiet, private room keeps attention on the work, not the surroundings.
  • Clear corrections. Teacher and student are close to each other and to the mirror.
  • Lower cost. Studio 5 costs €20 per hour — the most affordable of our five studios.
  • Still a professional room. Sprung floor, wall mirrors, portable barres, sound system and climate control.

Perfect For

  • Private ballet lessons and pointe coaching
  • Solo variations and competition pieces
  • Audition preparation and self-tape filming
  • One-on-one or duo Pilates (bring your own reformer if you use one)
  • Personal training, stretching and mobility sessions
  • Small groups of up to about 8–10 people

Tips for Teachers Offering Private Lessons

  1. Book a regular weekly slot — your students will plan around it.
  2. Include a few minutes for warm-up and a short review at the end.
  3. Film key moments so students can practise at home.
  4. Arrive about 10 minutes early and leave the studio ready for the next person.

Opening Hours

07:00 to 22:00, seven days a week — early lessons before school or work, late sessions after rehearsals, and weekends.

Navigating Our Space Options

While Studio 5 is our most requested room for intimate sessions, we manage five distinct studios at our Längenfeldgasse location. Beyond the 55 m² intimacy of our smallest room, we offer Studios 2 and 3, which provide 90 m² of space, and our two largest halls, Studio 1 and Studio 4, both spanning 100 m². With over 550 m² of total space available, we can accommodate anything from a solo coaching session to a group rehearsal of up to 25 dancers.

Choosing the right size depends on your specific needs. If you are preparing a solo variation, the 55 m² Studio 5 is often preferred because it mimics the sightlines of a stage more accurately than a vast, empty hall. Conversely, if you are organizing a contemporary workshop or a small troupe rehearsal, our 100 m² halls provide the necessary room for complex travel patterns and grand allegro work. Our pricing reflects these differences, with Studios 2 and 3 at €25 per hour, and the largest Studios 1 and 4 at €30 per hour.

Understanding Our Pricing and Capacity

We believe in transparent, straightforward pricing. Every studio rental includes up to 10 people in the base price, making our rooms highly competitive for small groups or workshops. Should your group grow beyond 10 participants, we simply add a surcharge of €5 per hour for every additional person. This flexibility ensures that you only pay for the capacity you actually use, whether you are teaching a one-on-one session or a slightly larger masterclass.

There are never any hidden fees or complicated rate structures at our academy. Whether you book at 07:00 on a Tuesday morning or 20:00 on a Sunday evening, the rate remains identical. We do not apply surcharges for weekends or public holidays, ensuring that teachers can plan their semester budgets with absolute certainty. For those planning extensive projects, we also offer simplified booking options for half-day (4 hours) or full-day (8 hours) sessions to streamline your administrative tasks.

The Benefit of Our Location

Convenience is a critical factor for any teacher or student in Vienna. Our facility at Längenfeldgasse 27 in the 1120 district is situated just a five-minute walk from the Längenfeldgasse transport hub, served by the U6 and U4 underground lines. In addition, we are easily accessible via the 62 tram and the Badner Bahn (WLB), making us a central meeting point for students coming from across the city or even from Lower Austria.

When planning your sessions, consider the transition time between transit and the studio. All our rooms are equipped with dedicated changing areas, so you can arrive in street clothes and be ready to dance within minutes. Our proximity to major transit arteries allows our renters to maximize their time inside the studio, ensuring that your hourly booking is spent entirely on artistic development rather than commuting to a remote, inaccessible location.

Streamlining Your Booking Process

Our online booking system is designed to give you total control. You can view the live availability of all five studios at any time, allowing you to secure a recurring slot for the entire term. Please note that our system operates on a first-come, first-served basis; a studio is only officially reserved once the secure online payment is successfully completed. Unpaid requests do not hold the room, so we recommend finalizing your payment immediately upon selecting your desired slot.

For those interested in reducing their overhead costs, we offer a 10% discount to teachers and choreographers who are willing to allow the academy to film or photograph their session for our own promotional use. If you are interested in this arrangement, please coordinate with us during the planning phase. By helping us showcase the work happening within our walls, you can lower your rental investment while gaining access to our professional, climate-controlled environments for your ongoing training or instruction.
