You're Paying for Empty Floor: The Studio Mistake Almost Everyone Makes
Too big and you pay for empty floor. Too small and your dancers collide. A quick, practical way to pick the right studio size for your group in Vienna — in under a minute.
The most common booking mistake isn't the date or the time — it's the room. Here's the 60-second way to get it right.

Mistake 1: Booking Big "Just in Case"
A pilates group of six in a 100 m² hall feels empty and costs €30 instead of €20 per hour. Static classes need far less space than you think.
Mistake 2: Squeezing a Crew Into a Small Room
Twelve dancers running travelling choreography in 55 m² means half the rehearsal is spent avoiding each other. Moving work needs room.

The 60-Second Rule
- Moving work (jumps, across-the-floor, formations): about 4–5 m² per dancer
- Static work (mat Pilates, yoga, barre, stretching): about 3–4 m² per person
Quick Match
- 1–4 people, or a static group up to ~10: Studio 5, 55 m², €20/h
- Moving group up to ~15, or static up to 20: Studios 2 or 3, 90 m², €25/h
- Moving group 15–25, auditions, workshops: Studios 1 or 4, 100 m², €30/h
All prices include up to 10 people; each additional person costs €5 per hour.

Bonus Tip: Two Rooms Beat One Big Room
Running two levels in a workshop? Book Studios 2 and 3 at the same time — they are identical, so both groups get the same conditions.
Compare all rooms on the studio rental page and pick your slot in the availability calendar. Your booking is confirmed once the online payment is completed.
The Logistics of Extra Dancers
Our pricing model is transparent: every base price covers up to ten participants. However, if your group size grows—perhaps an unexpected drop-in for a contemporary workshop—remember that each additional dancer costs just €5 per hour. It is vital to declare these numbers during the booking process so that we can maintain our capacity limits and safety standards.
If you find that your group size consistently exceeds your initial estimate, it is far more cost-effective to upgrade your booking to a larger studio. Cramming 18 dancers into a 55 m² space is not only uncomfortable, but it also compromises the quality of your rehearsal. Use our online portal to update your reservation as soon as you have a final headcount.
When Should You Consider Half-Day Rentals?
Many choreographers make the mistake of booking studio time in single-hour increments, only to find they spend 15 minutes setting up their portable barres and another 15 minutes cooling down. If you are preparing for a performance or a long-term project, consider booking our half-day (4-hour) or full-day (8-hour) blocks.
Booking in longer blocks not only gives you peace of mind that your space won't be snatched up by someone else, but it also allows your dancers to get into a true creative flow. Because our rate is consistent throughout the day—with no extra surcharges for evenings, weekends, or holidays—you will pay the same hourly rate whether you rehearse on a Tuesday morning or a Sunday night.
Understanding Our Location and Access
Efficiency starts before you even reach the studio door. Located at Längenfeldgasse 27 in the 12th district, we are exceptionally well-connected to Vienna's public transport network. Whether you are arriving via the U4 or U6 lines at Längenfeldgasse, or catching the 62 tram or the Badner Bahn, you are never more than a five-minute walk away.
We suggest that group leaders arrive 10 minutes early to orient themselves. Since our studios are in active use by the academy’s students and teachers throughout the day, please be mindful of those exiting as you enter. Our opening hours run from 07:00 to 22:00 every single day, so you have plenty of flexibility to plan your rehearsals around work or school schedules.
The "Promotional Partner" Discount
We are always looking for creative content to showcase the versatility of our halls. If you are planning an open class, a rehearsal, or a private project and are willing to allow the academy to film or photograph your session for our own promotional use, we offer a 10% discount on your booking.
This is an excellent way to reduce your costs while getting your work featured on our channels. If you are interested in this arrangement, please mention it when coordinating your booking. It is a fantastic way to bridge the gap between rehearsal and production while keeping your overheads low.
What Every Studio Includes
Regardless of whether you choose the intimate 55 m² Studio 5 or one of our expansive 100 m² halls, the core features remain consistent. Every room is equipped with full-wall mirrors to help you monitor your alignment and group symmetry. We also provide both fixed and portable barres, a high-quality sound system for your music, and independent climate control to keep the space comfortable.
Changing rooms are available for all renters, ensuring that your dancers can transition easily from street clothes to rehearsal attire. Since these studios are the same ones used by our professional students, they are maintained to a high standard of cleanliness and organization. We ask that all renters respect this by leaving the equipment exactly where they found it.
How to Secure Your Spot
The golden rule of our booking system is simple: the room is not officially yours until the payment is processed. We often receive multiple inquiries for the same popular slots, and our system operates on a first-come, first-served basis. If you see a time slot in our online calendar that fits your group, complete the payment immediately to lock it in.
Avoid the disappointment of "requesting" a room without finishing the checkout process. By finalizing your payment online, you receive an instant confirmation, allowing you to focus on your choreography rather than worrying about your rehearsal space. If you have questions about which size best fits your upcoming project, refer back to the square-meter breakdown and trust the data—your dancers will thank you for the extra space.

Our crew rehearses here twice a week now. Never had a problem getting a slot.
Booked a photo shoot here last month. The natural light in the afternoon is beautiful.
The mirrored wall and the sound system were both better than expected.
We split the cost across eight dancers and it still came out cheaper than our old place.
Clear pricing, no hidden fees. That is rare in this city.
Finally a studio in Vienna that lets you book early mornings. That solved our schedule problem instantly.
