The Basic Maths

Studios 2 and 3 (90 m²) cost €25 per hour, and the price already includes up to 10 people. A two-hour rehearsal is €50. Split between 10 dancers: €5 each.

We offer five distinct studios to accommodate anything from a solo coaching session to a full dance company rehearsal. Understanding our layout helps you book the space that matches your group's size and activity. Studio 5 is our most compact space at 55 m², making it the ideal, budget-friendly choice for smaller groups or individual practice. It is priced at just €20 per hour, which is perfect if you are working on choreography alone or in a pair.

For larger ensembles, our 90 m² rooms, Studios 2 and 3, provide ample space for complex formations. If you are preparing for a performance that requires maximum clearance or have a large group of up to 25 dancers, our premier halls—Studio 1 and Studio 4—both offer 100 m² of space. Because all five rooms are used by our professional students and faculty throughout the week, you can be certain that every space is maintained to the highest standards regardless of which one you choose.

Consistency in Pricing

One of the biggest frustrations when renting space in Vienna is the fluctuating rate card. You might find a great price on a Tuesday morning, only to see it double for a Friday evening or a weekend session. At the Wien Ballettakademie, we believe in transparency, which is why our hourly rates remain constant regardless of the day or time.

Whether you are planning a Sunday morning warm-up, a late-night session on a public holiday, or a weekday afternoon intensive, the price per hour stays exactly the same. We do not apply surcharges for prime-time slots. This predictability allows your crew to manage your budget months in advance without worrying about unexpected costs as your performance date approaches.

Planning Longer Rehearsals

While most of our renters book in one or two-hour blocks, many professional groups opt for extended sessions to achieve real progress. We offer the flexibility to book half-day sessions of four hours or full-day intensives of eight hours. If you are working on a new piece or holding a workshop, booking a longer block of time is often the most efficient way to utilize the space.

When booking these longer periods, remember that our base rate covers your first 10 participants. If your group grows larger, there is a simple additional fee of €5 per extra person, per hour. This modular pricing structure ensures that you only pay for what you actually use, whether you are a small duo or a large collective needing a full day of focus.

Easy Access and Location

Rehearsal time is precious, and we know you do not want to spend half of it commuting. We are conveniently located at Längenfeldgasse 27 in the 1120 district, putting us just a short five-minute walk from the Längenfeldgasse U-Bahn station. This station is a major hub served by both the U4 and U6 lines, making it incredibly easy to reach us from anywhere in Vienna.

For those arriving from the southern outskirts of the city, we are also easily accessible via tram 62 and the Badner Bahn (WLB). Being situated in Meidling provides a central point that is accessible for crews coming from different parts of the city, saving everyone time and energy that can be better spent in the studio.

Booking Best Practices

Our scheduling system is designed for total autonomy. We provide a live, real-time availability calendar directly on our website. This means you never have to send an email inquiry or wait for a phone call to know if a room is free. If you see an open slot in the calendar, it is yours to claim immediately.

Please keep in mind that our system functions on a first-paid, first-served basis. Your session is not officially secured until the online payment is processed through our secure gateway. If you have an unpaid request or a cart that hasn't been checked out, the room remains available to others. For the best selection of evening or weekend times, we recommend booking as early as possible.

Essential Gear for Every Session

Every room at our academy is equipped with the core tools you need for a productive session. You will find full-wall mirrors in every studio, which are essential for checking lines and synchronizing movements across the entire formation. We also provide both fixed and portable ballet barres in all rooms, allowing you to reconfigure the space to suit your specific choreography.

Each studio is climate-controlled to ensure comfort throughout the year, regardless of the weather outside. Additionally, you will have access to our sound systems to play your music, and you are welcome to utilize our changing rooms before and after your time in the hall. We strive to provide a professional environment where you can simply arrive, set your playlist, and get straight to work.
