Your Crew Deserves Better Than a Shopping-Centre Mirror

Dance crews in Vienna need space, sound and a floor that can take it. Where to practise hip-hop, contemporary, jazz and commercial dance — and how to make every rehearsal hour count.

Parks are free but the weather isn't, and shopping-centre mirrors close at 20:00. If your crew is serious about the next battle, showcase or competition, you need a real practice space.

What Your Crew Actually Needs

  • Full-wall mirrors to clean formations and sync.
  • A sound system you can plug your phone into — loud enough for the whole room.
  • A sprung floor for knee slides, drops, floorwork and jumps without wrecking your joints.
  • Space — 90 m² for crews of 8–15, 100 m² for large formations up to 25.
  • Late hours — our studios are open until 22:00, every day.

Make Every Hour Count

  1. Warm up before the clock starts — arrive 10 minutes early.
  2. Have a plan: new choreo first, cleaning second, full run-throughs last.
  3. Film every full run and watch it together at the end.
  4. Use the mirror and turn away from it — practise facing the back wall so you don't depend on it on stage.

Splitting the Cost

A 90 m² studio costs €25 per hour and includes up to 10 people. Split between 10 dancers, a two-hour rehearsal costs €5 per person. Bigger crew? Each person beyond 10 adds €5 per hour.

Weekly Crew Slot

Many crews book the same evening every week. It keeps everyone committed and makes planning easy. For regular bookings over several months, ask us about a package.

Where We Are

Längenfeldgasse 27, 1120 Wien — about five minutes from the U6 Längenfeldgasse station, with bus and tram connections nearby.

Book Your Session

Check free slots in the booking calendar, choose your hours and pay online. The studio is yours once the payment is completed — unpaid requests don't hold the slot.

Navigating Our Studio Selection

With five distinct spaces available, it is helpful to match your crew size to the right room. If your group is small or working on intimate duo or trio pieces, Studio 5 at 55 m² is a cost-effective choice at just €20 per hour. For mid-sized crews of up to 15, our 90 m² rooms, Studios 2 and 3, offer the perfect balance of space and price. If you have a large formation, we recommend our 100 m² halls, Studio 1 or Studio 4, to ensure nobody feels cramped during complex transitions or group lifts.

Because all our rooms are used daily by our own professional academy students and teachers, they are maintained to a high standard of cleanliness and climate control. Every room, regardless of size, comes fully equipped with the standard essentials: wall-to-wall mirrors, fixed and portable barres, and reliable sound systems. We suggest scouting our booking calendar to see which specific room configurations suit your needs, keeping in mind that the capacity for each price tier is base-calculated for up to 10 people.

Transparent Pricing and Planning

We believe in keeping things simple for independent crews. Unlike other venues that inflate prices for "peak hours," our hourly rates remain consistent from 07:00 to 22:00, seven days a week. There are no hidden weekend or holiday surcharges to worry about when scheduling your practice sessions. Whether you are rehearsing on a quiet Tuesday morning or a busy Sunday evening, the rate for the room remains the same.

When calculating your budget, remember that our base prices cover up to 10 participants. Should your crew grow, simply add €5 per person for each hour booked. If your team is planning a marathon choreography weekend, we also accommodate half-day (4 hours) and full-day (8 hours) blocks. Booking these extended sessions ensures that your crew is not interrupted and allows you to move into the space with the comfort that it is yours for the entire duration of your creative process.

Logistics and Getting Here

Convenience is a major factor when coordinating a group of busy dancers. Located at Längenfeldgasse 27 in the 12th district, we are situated in a highly accessible area of Meidling. You can reach us within a five-minute walk from the Längenfeldgasse station, which serves both the U4 and U6 lines. If you are coming from further afield, the tram 62 and the Badner Bahn (WLB) also stop nearby, making it easy for members coming from different parts of the city to converge without stress.

Upon arrival, please make use of our designated changing rooms so you can transition from street clothes to your rehearsal gear comfortably. We ask that all crews arrive promptly and respect the scheduled end time to ensure the next booking can begin on schedule. By arriving with your gear ready and your playlist prepared, you maximize the value of every minute spent in the studio.

The Benefit of Our Creator Discount

We love seeing new work being created in our halls. If you are comfortable with us filming or photographing your session to use for our own promotional purposes, we offer a 10% discount on your booking. This is a great way for crews to reduce their costs while supporting the academy’s mission to showcase the vibrant dance talent in Vienna.

If you choose this option, it is a fantastic opportunity for your crew to gain some visibility through our channels as well. Please indicate your interest during the booking process so we can coordinate if a staff member or media assistant will be present to capture your rehearsals. It is a mutually beneficial arrangement that helps keep dance culture accessible to everyone in the city.

Final Tips for Seamless Bookings

The golden rule of booking is to finalize payment immediately. Our live availability calendar updates in real-time, meaning that unpaid requests do not hold the space. We strongly encourage crews to designate one point of contact—an "organizer"—who manages the login and payment to avoid confusion. Once the transaction is processed through our secure portal, your spot is confirmed, and you will receive a confirmation for your records.

Finally, do not hesitate to reach out if you have specific questions about room dimensions or specific equipment requirements. Because our studios are part of a working academy, we understand the rhythm of rehearsals and are here to help you find the right fit for your artistic goals. Whether you are prepping for a national competition or just need a consistent home for weekly classes, we look forward to hosting your next creative breakthrough.

The ceiling height is a genuine advantage for anything with lifts.
